New York - COVID Quarantine for 10 Days States Guidance Updated

On December 31, 2020, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced new state quarantine guidelines consistent with the federal Centers for Disease Control’s December 2, 2020 guidance. Under the state’s new guidelines, those exposed to COVID-19 may end their quarantine period after ten days (rather than 14 days), and without testing, as long as they have no symptoms during their quarantine period. After day ten is reached, individuals must continue monitoring for symptoms through day 14 and if any develop, they should immediately self-isolate and contact the local health department or their healthcare provider to report the change and determine if they should seek testing.
